Russell has over twenty years of tax experience in the areas of individual, corporate, partnership, estate, and trust return planning and preparation. His industries of concentration are financial institutions, agricultural, oil and gas, service companies, retail stores and various others. He also has significant experience in IRS representation in audits, collections, and offers in compromise.

Special financial institution experience includes tax planning and due-diligence in relation to merger and acquisitions, state tax planning and compliance, and independent analysis of valuation allowances. In addition, he has participated in litigation and account liability investigations, testimony, and interrogatory responses.

Russell has spoken to numerous professional and industry groups regarding a wide range of financial institution taxation issues.
